Changes to paintwork 'can brighten up rooms'

New taps 'can help give the bathroom a new look'

11th October 2011

People looking to brighten up a room which contains products like Vado bathroom taps or other brands could find that some repainting is all that is needed.

Giving a new lease of life to a tired looking room requires no more than just repainting the woodwork, according to interior designer George Bond.

"Some people do forget about paintwork - and it's not necessarily the wallpaper - it sometimes just needs freshening up," Mr Bond advised.

He also suggested that people who want to sell or rent out their property were best adopting neutral shades, as these will appeal to the widest number of people and allow them to live comfortably, as there will not be too much of the previous owner's personality included.

Those who do decide to try new styles around their products like those from Imperial bathroom suites were recently advised by Julia Kendell, DIY SOS presenter and interior designer, that classic country themes and greys are popular for this season.
